The University of Arkansas will temporarily close its Arkansas Union for electrical improvements from 6 p.m. Saturday through Jan 10.
The union houses a computer lab, technology center and help desk, among many other spaces and services.
School officials advised students to return rental equipment to the Arkansas Union by 5 p.m. Thursday to accommodate the closure. A limited inventory of rental equipment will be available through the Mullins Library from Jan 3-10.
Students who need assistance during the closure can call 479-575-2905.
The website Thrillist has called the Arkansas Union -- an all-purpose building for students and staff that hosts meeting rooms, workspaces, storage, event spaces, and support services for students and staff -- "one of the 25 most stunning college buildings in America."
