The University of Pikeville will host the Stillman College Choir Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Chrisman Auditorium for a concert celebrating Black History Month.

Stillman College is a private, historically black liberal arts college in Tuscaloosa founded in 1876 with approximately 1,000 students. Its renowned choir typically goes on tour each year and has performed in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Houston, San Antonio, Nashville, and Schorndorf, Germany. The group also performs throughout the year locally at churches and Stillman events.

The choir's concert at UPIKE will be curated around the evening's theme of "Stepping Up and Speaking Out." The concert is being organized and hosted by UPIKE student activities, the division of humanities, and department of fine arts and music.

The choice is directed by Jocqueline Richardson.
