Mississippi State University will make its Master of Science in Instructional Technology degree available online starting this summer.

With open enrollment underway, the program will be a popular choice among students in the instructional systems and workforce development department. The degree is part of the College of Education.

April 1 is the application deadline for summer enrollment.

“The totally online instructional technology degree now allows us to attract graduate students from anywhere —not just in our state or nearby — who desire knowledge and expertise in the instructional technology field and who wish to work in educational or business or industry environments,” Connie Forde, head of the instructional systems and workforce development department, said.

Forde said the online venue was specifically designed to attract a diverse audience and bring in new students. These students can choose from concentration areas that include instructional design, distance education or multimedia.

The program curriculum totals 33 hours.
