SCF receives $5,000 for nursing scholarship

The State College of Florida Foundation has been given $5,000 from the Venice Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers to support an SCF South Sarasota County Outstanding Nursing Scholarship.

Foundation officials announced last month that the scholarship will be awarded to a high-achieving nursing student living in South Sarasota County who has a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates will also be judged based on faculty recommendations.

The State College of Florida is a public college in Bradenton.
