In a Boise State student union exhibition, jewelry and art that has been crafted by the Boise State Art Metals Club is being displayed in the presentation "Riveting."

The event will run through May 8.

"The work presented here straddles the boundaries of the beautiful and the grotesque, pushing viewers to question what they are looking at and how it relates to themselves and the culture in which they live," club president Deanna Imhoff said.

She said students who are contributing to the exhibition have studied the history of their art form and practiced it well.

The student union's 12-month exhibition series are part of the division of campus operations at the school and includes presentations by students, faculty, staff and the community's artists.

"Riveting" will be shown in the second floor of the student union building, the Pop-UP Gallery.

Admission is free, and parking is available at an hourly rate in the Lincoln and Grady parking garages.
