Boise State University will be hosting a performance by the Idaho Dance Theatre April 15-16, in which the students and public will be welcome to witness the choreography of the dance company’s new performance.

The event will be held in the Special Events Center. Tickets will be available at two prices: for general admission, $20, and $10 for military. Students of Boise State are given free admission. The event begins at 8 p.m. and will start with a video presentation with special behind-the-scenes footage into the preparation of the show. After the video, the performance will take place, which will feature solos, duets and additional dances, as well.

Marla Hansen was the artistic director who choreographed the duets, while Yurek Hansen was responsible for the solos. Additionally, Evan Stevens will be joining in and presenting his first work with the dance company; Gonzalo Valdez, Sayoko Knode and Hansen will collaborate on their performance set to percussion music.

The performance will be an fusion of multiple types of music and dances and will end with “Love Hurts,” by Hansen, set to the music of Robert Plant and Allison Krauss.
