Simpson College has been chosen by the Council of Independent Colleges to participate in the CIC Consortium for Online Humanities Instruction, made possible through a grant by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

The council chose Simpson as one of the representative colleges for the workshops because it felt that the college's workshop proposal was exceptionally well thought out and of a high quality. The grant for the workshop is a positive for Simpson, as it creates a unique experience for the college to come together with other colleges in the area and learn and teach one another.

For now, Simpson will begin preparing teams to host three national workshops for the summer of 2018.
