Palm Beach Atlantic students honored by executive women

The Executive Women of the Palm Beaches recently awarded five Palm Beach Atlantic University students with scholarships at its 33rd annual Woman in Leadership Luncheon.

Lauren Ayres was the recipient of the Executive Women Scholarship. Ayres serves as a vacation Bible school leader each summer and works with preschool children.

Stephanie Ellis was awarded the Women’s Community Health Partnership Scholarship. Ellis has participated in the Gregory School of Pharmacy’s Health Fair since 2013 and assisted with a diabetes awareness program in 2014.

Jessica Monteiro was named the Frances Fisher Scholar of the LeMieux Center for Public Policy. She has worked as a summer camp counselor to more than 500 teenagers for the past three years and volunteers at her local church, where she plays piano.

Amy Randle was honored with the Kathryn Vecellio Scholarship. She is a volunteer Sunday school teacher for grades three through five and has served as a middle school youth director.

Alessandra Tonelli received the Pattie Light Moment of Gratitude Scholarship. Tonelli is a past president of the Future Business Leaders of America, Palm Beach Gardens High School chapter, and continues to volunteer for the chapter as a mentor to club members.
