The Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois recently awarded the 2016 Women to Women Award for Education/Arts to Bradley University’s Nancy Sherman, who serves in the Department of Leadership in Education, Nonprofits and Counseling.

The award is given based on career accomplishments and displays of leadership in education or the arts. Sherman teaches courses such as Assessment in Counseling.  Additionally, she is serving as the interim associate dean for distance education.

Sherman has been at Bradley since 1992, and has been the faculty adviser for the Beta Phi Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, International Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society. The organization won the Outstanding Chapter award in 2008, and in 2014 Sherman won the Outstanding Practitioner/Supervisor award.

Sherman is also on the Human Rights Review Board for EPIC (formerly PARC), for which she is the chair.
