The Nursing Schools Almanac recently ranked the nursing program at Bradley University in the top 6 percent of the Great Lakes Region and 29th overall, following a 100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX national licensure exam from Bradley students in February.

The almanac based its rankings on academic prestige and perceived value, the array and quality of nursing programs offered, and student access to things like the NCLEX. This year’s 100 percent pass rate, a significantly higher rate than the 85 percent national average or 86 percent average for Illinois, was the first time Bradley students achieved that milestone since 2003. Bradley was also one of just 100 nursing programs that hosted a White Coat Ceremony for its sophomore nursing students in 2015.

For the Nursing Schools Almanac rankings, the Great Lakes Region consists of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.

The school’s nursing program began in 1956 and includes undergraduate, accelerated and graduate course offerings. Bradley also offers five online advanced nursing degree programs, including a Master of Science in Nursing Administration, a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner, a Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate and doctoral degrees in Nursing Practice: Family Nurse Practitioner and Leadership.
