Dr. Elmer Godeny recently joined the Blinn College faculty as the Dean of Agricultural and Natural Sciences, bringing more than three decades of experience in higher education and a dedication to student success.
“Blinn College is delighted to name Dr. Elmer Godeny its new Dean of Agricultural & Natural Sciences,” Blinn District President/CEO Dr. Mary Hensley said. “His student-focused approach to science education and engaging management style make him a welcome addition to the Blinn College family.”
Godeny, who will begin work at Blinn in
August, is coming to the institution from New Jersey’s Atlantic Cape Community
College, where he was the dean of the Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics Programs. He was previously associate dean of science and
mathematics at Tulsa Community College, and has also taught in the
Louisiana Community and Technical College System, at Baton Rouge Community
College and at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary

He has garnered significant experience in
those positions, helping develop and oversee veterinary technology programs,
conducting research and publishing articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.
“Engaging students and removing barriers to
student success has long been a major focus of mine,” Godeny said.
