U.S. News & World Report recently released its America’s Best Colleges Guide, which names Mercyhurst University a “Best Value” school and a top-tier institution in its Best Regional Universities in the North.

“Mercyhurst University has experienced a particularly robust year and we are confident in the path we have chosen for our future,” Mercyhurst President Michael Victor said. “We are proud to be recognized for the good work of our faculty and staff.”

Mercyhurst was ranked 61st out of 137 top-tier institutions, and was named a Best Value school based on its ranking in the guide and the actual cost for a student receiving the average need-based financial aid. The school also earned a place on the Most International Students list, with 11 percent of its student body coming from outside the United States, and Best Schools for Veterans list, with support systems in place for veteran and active-duty students.

“Going forward, we will continue to establish niche fields of study and anchor them with a strong liberal arts curriculum and investigate new technologies for delivering that education,” Victor said. “We will build new local, regional and international collaborations that create the very best learning experiences for our students and generate opportunities for enlightenment and service to the greater good.”
