The Department of Film and Theatre at the University of New Orleans and the Southern Rep Theatre have announce “UNO Night” on Oct. 6 at the university’s Nims Theatre for the “Airline Highway” preview performance.

The show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

“I am pleased to invite my colleagues on the faculty as well as students, alumni and staff to attend on Oct. 6 and celebrate the fantastic UNO students and faculty who are working on this important production,” David Hoover, chair of the Department of Film and Theatre, said. “Our year-long partnership with Southern Rep has been very fruitful, and we are very happy to cap it off with such a large-scale collaboration. It’s a unique opportunity to welcome home this quintessentially New Orleans play in its first production since a run on Broadway last year.”

Tickets will be available to UNO faculty, staff and alumni for the special price of $20. Tickets will be available to students at $8 apiece as long as they show their ID. “Airline Highway” is being produced by both UNO’s Department of Film and Theatre and Southern Rep.

Advance tickets can be purchased from the Southern Rep box office by phone.
