Leaders at the University of Tampa (UT) recently announced the next event, “Is it cool to be a narcissist? Educational, Relationship and Business Perspectives,” which is a session in the Ethics Hot Seat Speaker Series on Oct. 18.

The event will begin at 5:30 and end at 7:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to join the session at the Vaughn Center, Trustees Board Room. The event is free of charge and open to the local community.

W. Keith Campbell, professor and chair of the University of Georgia Department of Psychology, will participate in the discussion. Dan Verreault, UT associate professor of accounting and director of the Center for Ethics, and Robert Marley, UT assistant professor of accounting and associate director of the Center for Ethics, will also be joining the discussion.

Campbell has earned a reputation as a nationally recognized expert on narcissism as well as society and generational change. His expertise is the rise of narcissism and individualism and how it affects society at every level. He has published The Narcissism Epidemic.

The faculty will host the interactive participation using polling questions.

The topic and discussion are part of the UT Center for Ethics goal to offer professional and educational resources that will encourage individual responsibility and ethical systems. These are important values in academic fields and business communities.
