St. Norbert music student to hold trumpet recital

St. Norbert College will host a recital featuring Nicholas Carncross, a music student at the college, who will play the trumpet.

The recital is scheduled to be held in Dudley Birder Hall 1 p.m. on Nov. 20.

During his performance, Carncross will perform a number of pieces, including music by Alexander Artunian, Rachmaninoff, Ravel and Vivaldi. Mary Slavek will accompany him. Carncross has stated that he will end the recital by performing a Vivaldi duet, which will feature junior Adam Rohde.

The recital is part of the requirements to fulfill partial credits for the music performance major, which is the major Carncross, who specializes in trumpet, is pursuing at St. Norbert.

The recital is free and open to the public.
