Ashland University recently announced that a longtime faculty
member, Dr. Michael Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Hudson, who
was an associate professor of geology, began his teaching career at Ashland in
1982.
During his time there, Hudson served as the advisor
to the Geology Club as well as director of the annual Mohican District Science
Fair. He received three Mentor Awards.
Hudson remained active with his students in
geochemical research on rocks that came from New York and the north central
region of Ohio.
The professor was beloved by his students and the university.
Ashland has asked everyone to keep his family, students and colleagues in their
prayers. Information about funeral arrangements has yet to be announced.
