Simpson University Music Department recently announced that tickets
to its Christmas concert, "The Ceremony of Carols," are now available.
The community is invited to the annual event, held at 3 p.m. on Dec. 4.
The Simpson University Chorale, The Trinity Repertory Singers
and Shasta Symphony Orchestra will all perform at the concert. Classic holiday music by
Britten, Mozart and Rutter are on the program. It will also include
Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty Suite."
"In This Great Expanse" composed by Dr. Dan
Pinkston, head of the music department and professor of theory and composition,
will also be performed.
The audience is invited to sing Christmas carols with the orchestra. Christmas-themed refreshments will also be
available to attendees.
General admission tickets for the concert are $10. Seniors and students
tickets are $8 and high school students with ID are free. Tickets may be obtained
online, at the Simpson University bookstore and at the door on Dec. 4.
The
concert will be held on the Simpson Campus in the Grant Student Life Center,
previously known as the Heritage Student Life Center.
