Multidisciplinary artist Carissa Carman is the focus of a six-week exhibit being presented by Indiana's University of Evansville.
The exhibit, sponsored by the
Efroymson Family Fund
and presented by the school's art department, will continue through Feb. 25 at the Melvin Peterson Gallery, near the university. Carman will be on hand to give a talk on Jan. 26, followed by a reception at the gallery. She will also present a workshop for students.
Carman earned her MFA in fibers at Concordia University in Montreal. She has received grants from the Andy Warhol Foundation, the New York Foundation of the Arts, the New York Council of Arts and the Canada Council of Arts. She is currently a textile lecturer at Indiana University.
