Bradley University is now offering an online master of arts degree in clinical mental health counseling.
“We’re going to meet people where they’re at, in their walks of life, choices and their own locations,” Dr. Carlos Del Rio, Bradley's online counseling program director, said.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the counseling occupational outlook is positive, and clinical mental health professionals are especially in demand. Expanded health insurance coverage, growing awareness of proper mental health among the U.S. population, and more military veterans seeking treatment prove that the demand for counseling will only continue to grow.
The counseling degree is the second concentration to be launched online by Bradley. Five nursing degrees began this past fall.
