Miami University will present 1,108 diplomas during its fall commencement ceremony, which will take place at 3 p.m. Friday in Millett Hall.
President David Hodge will preside over the ceremony, while professor Rose Marie Ward will give the commencement address. Ward, who teaches kinesiology and health, is the university's 2015 Effective Educator.
David Budig (Miami ’84) and Ted Downing (Miami ’68) also will give brief remarks. Budig is the chair of the Miami University Board of Trustees, while Downing is president of the Miami University Alumni Association. Joey Parizek, the student body president, will give special remarks.
The conferral of diplomas will comprise 83 associates, 729 bachelor’s, 287 master’s and nine doctorates. No tickets will be necessary for the program, which will last about 90 minutes.
