Adrian University’s Robinson Planetarium and Observatory has announced its show schedule for January.
In Star Talk: Night Skies of the New Year, the folklore of famous stars and constellations will be discussed in a at 7 p.m. on Jan. 8.
Two Small Pieces of Glass, playing at 7 p.m. on Jan. 15 and Jan. 29, will feature two teenage students at a local star party. They’ll provide information about telescopes, the nature of light and how telescopes function, and how those instruments have helped us shape our understanding of the solar system and beyond.
In Flight Adventures, guests can discover the science of flight through the eyes of a young girl and her grandfather. They’ll explore how things fly, from birds to kites and planes. The show will take place Jan. 22 at 7 p.m.
The Robinson Planetarium is on the Adrian College campus at the eastern end of Peelle Hall on the corner of Charles and Williams streets in Adrian, Michigan. Admission is free for all showings.
