Bradley University will offer a workshop entitled “Starting a Business in Illinois” from 3-5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the PeoriaNEXT Innovation Center, 801 W. Main St. in Peoria.
Hosted by Bradley’s Illinois Small Business Development Center, the workshop is free and open to the public. Topics will include how to get a business name registered, where to get a tax identification number, licenses and permits, what legal form to choose, sales taxes, estimated quarterly income tax, employee taxes, financing a business, preparing a business plan, government requirements and legal structure. A host of other small business issues will also be discussed.
The same event will also be held from 3-5:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at Fondulac Bank in East Peoria.
