The Tampa Bay Times and Tampa Bay Business Journal both released lists of influential business leaders in the region, including a wealth of University of South Florida community members.

The Tampa Bay Times “Pressing Forward: 25 Most Influential Business Players in Tampa Bay” is a list of business leaders whose skills and experience make them influential to those around them.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal’s “Power 100” is a new list that grew out of staff questions like “Whose influence extends beyond their own company and their own industry?” and “When the mayors in Tampa, St. Petersburg or Clearwater need something done, who gets the call?”

USF had a strong presence in both lists. Administrators, alumni, board members and donors earned a place on one or both lists.

The influential business leaders were John Accardi, Sharon Calvert, Colleen Chappell, Victor Crist, Judy Genshaft, Richard Gonzmart, Mike Griffin, Rob Higgins, Brian Lamb, Rhea Law, Frank Morsani, Hal Mullis, Pam and Les Muma, Ron Pierce, Paul Sanberg, Bill West and Mark Woodard.
