The State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) District Board of Trustees recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Manatee and Sarasota County School Districts that extends the Collegiate School agreement through July 31, 2017.

The board also discussed and approved non-financial and financial revised consent agenda items, and awarded a $296,625 contract for the remodeling of the Food Servery at SCF Venice to Delesline Construction.

The board revised  the “Employment Contracts, Generally” rule along with contractual agreements and salary schedules for all personnel as recommended on a yearly basis by the administration. For the “Employment Contracts for Full-Time Faculty” rule, the board revised it to state that the board may establish full-time faculty positions that are not eligible for continuing contracts.

Finally, Trustee President Carol Probstfeld welcomed new trustee member Peter Logan and thanked Charlene Neal for great service.

The board will meet again at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 at SCF Lakewood Ranch.
