Butler University pharmacy professor Jennifer Snyder has been named president of the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA).

PAEA is a national organization that represents physician assistant education programs nationwide. All accredited physician assistant programs in the country are association members. Founded in 1972, the association provides services for faculty and its member programs, in addition to applicants, students and other stakeholders..

Snyder said she is prepared to meet a number of challenges in the coming year.

“Making sure we stay focused on our mission: the education of PAs and helping member programs be the best that they can be,” Snyder said. “There are many opportunities and directions that we can go, but there are limited resources — both financial and human— so we really need to focus on serving our member programs.”
