The Colorado School of Mines held a Career Day recently that connected more than 2,200 students, graduate students and alumni with more than 190 companies.
Attendees were able to meet with employers in industries including civil and structural engineering, energy, environmental, manufacturing, mining, high tech, bio-medical and aerospace.
“This event is a true reflection of how focused, proactive and incredibly talented the Mines students are and how valuable these top students, grads and alumni are to the companies," Jean Manning-Clark, director of the CSM Career Center, said. "It is a testimony to the strong collaboration of the entire Mines family — faculty, administration, staff and alumni—in promoting the importance of all recruiting activities to the student body."
Many new employers and federal agencies attended this spring event as well, an added bonus for Mines. In the upcoming days and weeks, Mines will host more than 500 on-campus interviews between potential employers and Mines’ students.
