Boise State names new interim vice president for student affairs

Boise State University has announced that Leslie Webb will act as interim vice president for student affairs, replacing Lisa Harris who will take on a new role as special assistant to the president.

Webb, who has been with the school since 2009, was an associate vice president for three years. In this role, she provided leadership and management in key areas of the Student Affairs division. These areas included Housing and Residence Life, the Career Center, Student Media, Campus Recreation, Student Involvement and Leadership and International Student Services. Webb oversaw more than 100 full-time employees as associate vice president.

Before coming to Boise State, Webb served in student affairs, enrollment management and diversity at Central Washington University. Other career highlights include time at the Art Institute of Seattle and Highline Community College in Des Moines, Washington.

Webb attended Central Washington University for her undergraduate studies, earning a bachelor’s degree in theater arts. She then earned a master of science in college student personnel from Western Illinois University and a Ph.D. in educational leadership at Colorado State University.
