Boise State has been named one of 31 Healthy Campus Partners nationwide by the American College Health Association through the school's BroncoFit program.
Healthy Campus Partners are institutions of higher learning that are committed to achieve Healthy Campus 2020 objectives -- namely, improving the health of all students, faculty and staff.
“It is a great honor to be recognized as a Healthy Campus Partner through the American College Health Association’s Healthy Campus 2020 Initiative,” Tim Dunnagan, dean of the College of Health Sciences, said. “We received this designation because we have a network of people across our campus who believe that creating a healthy learning environment is extremely important. We are actively taking steps to implement and track both individual and community based interventions that will positively impact the health and well-being of our Boise State community.”
The BroncoFit initiative began a year ago when the university's health services staff felt it could help Boise State become the healthiest campus environment in the nation. The campus also has pledged to develop a way to use data to measure program performance.
