Setting out to raise $25 million for scholarships to increase access to higher education for Idaho residents, Boise State University actually was able to raise $4 million more than its campaign target.

“This is a testament to the dedication and generosity of supporters of this university,” BSU's Vice President for Advancement Laura Simic said.

The school's scholarships in the past have made higher education a realistic opportunity for students such as Sarah Rehn, a senior in chemistry who hopes to ultimately earn a doctoral degree.

“All of the life-changing experiences I’ve had throughout my time here have only been possible because of philanthropy and the endless opportunities that can be found at Boise State,” Rehn said.
