Boise State University's MakerLab recently announced that it will be offering a number of free, one-hour workshops, all of which are open to the public.
From origami to programming, MakerLab will provide all of the necessary materials.
On March 10, individuals can learn the art of making paper baskets. Using the library silhouette cutter, participants will learn how to make useful containers of different sizes and designs. The event will begin at 1 p.m.
On March 17 at 11 a.m., attendees will be taught the basics of programming with the use of Python, the same application used by websites such as Youtube and Reddit.
On April 14, visitors will learn how to make light-up stickers, which are comprised of LED lighting and copper tape. Known as circuit stickers, the craft of building them becomes even easier at the workshop, where instruction will be provided beginning at 1 p.m.
Finally, on April 29, science lovers can enjoy the scientific origami workshop, designed to help people better understand ideas such as DNA. The three-dimensional models made are both creative and practical. This event will take place at 2:30 p.m.
