Ashland University president to address Christian ethics in business

Ashland University (AU) President Carlos Campo will be speaking at the second annual Gordon E. Heffern Applying Christian Ethics in Business Lecture series on March 30.

The event, sponsored by the Ohio university and the In His Steps Foundation, is being hosted by AU’s Dauch College of Business and Economics. The lecture is free and open to the public and will take place at noon March 30 at the John C. Myers Convocation Center on the Ashland University campus.

Dauch College Dean Jeff Russell said they are glad to welcome Campo and reflect on the Christian values that assist in creating successful business careers.

Campo was an education consultant with the Gates Foundation and chair for the Alliance for Hispanic Education with the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference. He has been a featured speaker on many occasions, addressing academics and the Hispanic community.

Some of Campo’s awards include being named to the 2012 and 2013 Inside Business “Power List,” the 2011 Excellence in Leadership Award from the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Association, an honorary doctorate from International University in Vienna in 2010 and being named among the “Who’s Who Among American Teachers’ from 2000 up through 2004.
