The National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation recently named three students from Boise State University as University Innovation Fellows.

The students -- Ann Delaney, Kelly Schutt and Rebecka Seward -- were sponsored by the College of Innovation and Design.

University Innovation Fellows work to ensure that fellow students take advantage of all resources at the university level that they need to compete in the economy of the future and make a positive impact on the world.

Seward is involved with a plasma medicine project and is preparing for veterinary school.

Schutt recently was awarded the Marshall scholarship, which is recognized as the most competitive scholarship worldwide.

Delaney is studying materials science and engineering at the master's level, and is researching barriers to creating memory with DNA.

"Our goal in becoming University Innovation Fellows is to find ways to communicate to students all of the resources that are available to them, and to create a conduit for student feedback to go back to the university to make Boise State better," Delaney said.

The trio will represent Boise State at the University Innovation Fellows' annual meet-up this month in California’s Silicon Valley.

These students are among the 155 who have been named University Innovation Fellows.
