The first 10 recipients of the full tuition ASIS Foundation Jeff Greipp Secure Your Future Scholarships were announced this month, receiving awards made possible by the ASIS Foundation and the University of Phoenix.

After partnering for five years to assist with education and training of prospective students, the nonprofit organization that is dedicated to elevating security practice through scholarship research and service and the university have put together this program, which will offer security professionals to achieve goals by getting undergraduate or master’s degrees.

University of Phoenix offers security management studies under instructors with professional experience in the field. Sandra Cowie, vice president at the ASIS Foundation, said the partnership with the university has made it possible for security practitioners to earn an academic degree, something that may otherwise have proved impossible.
