Ashford University recently made Diverse: Issues in Higher Education’s list as one of 100 institutions recognized for being a “Top Producer of Asian American and Pacific Islander Graduates.”

Post-secondary institutions where Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders earn the most degrees in the United States are selected for the list.

Diverse: Issues in Higher Education based its list off of data collected by the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). IPEDS completion data for Classification of Instructional Programs and race/ethnicity was used to determine the rankings on the list.

Ashford earned a spot on the list due to the institution demonstrating an excellent standard in keeping and bestowing degrees to minority students, the majority of which being Asian American and Pacific Islander. The areas of study most commonly associated with these students was business, English, engineering and social sciences.

Ashford University President and CEO Craig Swenson said he was honored by Ashford’s selection to the list. He said the university takes pride in providing accessible education to a diverse variety of students, specifically the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.
