Simpson hosts opening round of NAIA softball tournament

The 2016 NAIA Softball National Championship bracket has been announced, and Simpson University has been chosen to be a host for Opening Round play today through Wednesday. 

Along with Simpson, Dickinson State (N.D.), Oregon Tech and Eastern Oregon will play in the tournament.

The four teams will compete in a double-elimination mini tournament to decide a winner that will advance to the 36th annual NAIA Softball World Series on May 27-June 2 held in Sioux City, Iowa.

Single-day tickets and all-tournament passes are available from $5 to $25. Children under 10 are free.
