Berry College announces faculty promotions

Berry College granted tenure to one faculty member and promoted six others this week.

Associate professor of Anthropology and Environmental Studies Brian Campbell has been granted tenure. His area of focus includes agroecology, food sovereignty and agricultural biodiversity.

Julia Barnes was promoted to be an associate professor in Spanish. Her research is focused on women novelists and issues relating to contemporary Spain.

Dominic Qualley has been promoted to associate professor in chemistry. His research is focused on nucleic acid binding proteins and RNA chemistry. 

Jill Cochran was promoted to associate professor of mathematics. Her focus in research is within nuclear detection data analysis and analysis of social networking among teachers.

Lauren Heller has been promoted to serve as an associate professor of economics. Her area of focus is in international health economics, applied microeconomics and development and program evaluation.

Kyle Caires has been promoted to associate professor in animal science. His focus is in the endocrine mechanisms regulation of fertility, sustainable livestock production and cell function regulation.

Joseph Daniel was promoted to professor of animal science, his area of research consists of endocrine-immune system interactions, animal health productions and endocrine metabolic regulators.
