North Central College recently honored eight members of its faculty and administration for their exceptional teaching, leadership, scholarship and administrative service during the 2015-2016 academic year.

Two members of the faculty who received awards were honored for distinguished teaching by part-time and adjunct half-time faculty. They are Karina Duncker-Hoffman, English lecturer, and Jeff Woodruff, adjunct assistant business administration professor. Duncker-Hoffman received the Distinguished Teaching Award for part-time faculty and Woodruff was the recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award for adjunct half-time faculty.

The other six faculty and staff members received Dissinger awards, named for Clarence Dissinger and his sister, Ruth Dissinger. Marco Martinez, assistant mathematics professor, was honored among junior faculty; Sarah Lereau, associate accounting professor, for senior faculty; Dorothy Pleas, multicultural affairs director, for administrative manager; June Johnson, interlibrary loan and reference services assistant, for administrative support staff; Jonathan Kirk, assistant music professor, for faculty scholarship; and Steve Macek, communications professor, for distinguished service by senior faculty.
