The Boise State Bookstore will transition to counter services for textbook purchases beginning Aug. 1.

The self-service textbook selection will cease to exist as a result. This will make sure students receive the correct textbooks for the courses they have signed up for and ensure that each student receives quality customer service from the experts on staff.

When students come to the bookstore to pick up their texts, they will need to have a copy of their book list. The staff will then retrieve the books that the students require and optional texts recommended books for the courses. Students will then decide which books they want to purchase.

The new counter service in the bookstore will be permanent. The only exceptions to the service will be the week before classes start through the week following the start of classes. During this time, the floor will be open for customers to choose their own texts. Sales associates will be available to help students if needed.
