Bridgewater College will be featured in the 2016 Virginia Living State of Education, a supplement of Virginia Living magazine, where the school takes a spot on the magazine’s list of the state’s top colleges.
The issue will be out on Sept. 9 as part of
Virginia Living’s September/October issue.
Virginia Living featured Bridgewater, which
is located in the Central Shenandoah Valley and has a student body of
approximately 1,800 students, due to its recent introduction of its first
graduate degree program. The college now offers a Masters of Science in
Athletic Training degree, furthering its profile in the state and
qualifying it under Virginia Living’s criteria of excellence and innovation.
"Bridgewater’s first graduate program
is one that has demonstrated success and maintains alignment with the
institution’s core ideals,” Division of Professional Studies Head Barbara Long said. “For more
than 15 years, we have been educating athletic training students in a liberal
arts context. That combination has made our graduates extremely successful
throughout the region, demonstrating that liberal arts and professional
programs are not exclusive of one another. The Division of Professional Studies
faculty are very excited to start a new chapter in a storied Bridgewater
College history.”
