Berry College Fine Arts will present its first art exhibition of the academic year, entitled “Quotidian," beginning Monday in the Moon Gallery.

The exhibition will feature the works of Michael Marks, Raymond Yeager, Susan Loftin, Edward Ramsay-Morin and Mary and Dan Defoor. Each of the artists selected to participate in the exhibit creates works with the central theme based on the “everyday.” Some of the featured artists use traditional approaches for their works, such as oil paintings, while others create using a more contemporary method, like iPad paintings.

The exhibit will also have three artist talks during the exhibition. Mary and Dan Defoor, both Berry alumni, will talk about their collaborative ceramics works on Aug. 29 at 5 p.m, Michael Marks will host a discussion about “mining virtual environments” on Sept. 15 at 5 p.m., and on Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. Susan Loftin will speak about her works.

The gallery will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The exhibit, which is free, will end on Sept. 22. More information on the art program at Berry College can be found at http://berry.edu/academics/humanities/finearts/art/.
