Iowa Public Radio to feature Simpson’s McDonald

Simpson College's Iowa Arts Showcase, which is broadcast on Iowa Public Radio Classical, will feature the college’s assistant professor of music and the Larsen Chair of Opera Bernard McDonald Saturday.

McDonald will be joining the show to discuss Venus and Adonis and Dido and Aeneas, two early English operas that will be performed at Simpson this fall. The radio broadcast spans the entire state and will take place at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Iowa Arts Showcase takes place on a monthly basis and lasts for an hour. The show focuses on art organizations that contribute to communities across Iowa. This includes organizations in performing arts, festivals and visual arts.
