The University of Arkansas recently
selected Debbie McLoud to serve as associate vice chancellor for human resources, following her interim service in the position, beginning on Dec. 1.
“I am very honored to be given this
opportunity,” McLoud said. “Chancellor Steinmetz has often said that a
university’s people are what make it great, and in human resources we are
committed to recruiting, developing and retaining the best and most diverse
possible workforce, then providing our campus community with innovative
solutions and excellent service to help them thrive.”
McLoud previously served as the director of
employee services in the office; she has worked with human resources at the University of Arkansas for 25 years.
McLoud previously held several leadership
positions, including director of employee development and special programs and
interim associate vice chancellor for human resources.
“Sometimes you need to have a national
search to determine that the best person for the job is already here,” Finance and Administration Vice Chancellor Tim O’Donnell said. “Debbie has been an
outstanding member of the human resources staff for 25 years ... The search
committee had no problem deciding that she was the best possible candidate for
the job.”
