Graduates earn 1,884 degrees, certificates from State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota

About 66.3 percent of the 1,884 degrees and certificates handed out by the State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Bradenton conferred 1249 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 1249 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 162 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 109 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

The college enrolled 10,480 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
