About 29.5 percent of the 1,725 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of New Orleans in 2016-17 were to students in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Orleans conferred 359 bachelor's degrees and 144 master's degrees in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Data shows the school gave out 132 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General, followed by 125 bachelor's degrees in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, Other and 107 bachelor's degrees in Psychology, General.
The university enrolled 8,037 students for 2016-17, including 6,442 in undergraduate programs and 1,595 in graduate programs.
