About 22.5 percent of the 178 degrees and certificates handed out by the Dewey University-Carolina in 2016-17 were to students in Engineering Technology and Engineering-Related Fields programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Carolina conferred 40 certificates in Engineering Technology and Engineering-Related Fields programs.
But the single most popular program was for a certificate in Child Care Provider/Assistant. Data shows the school gave out 36 certificates in Child Care Provider/Assistant, followed by 30 associate's degrees in Early Childhood Education and Teaching and 28 certificates in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Technology/Technician.
The university enrolled 464 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
