Graduates earn 3,171 degrees, certificates from Universidad del Turabo

About 31.2 percent of the 3,171 degrees and certificates handed out by the Universidad del Turabo in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Gurabo conferred 399 bachelor's degrees and 326 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide. Data shows the school gave out 235 bachelor's degrees in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide, followed by 183 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 176 associate's degrees in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician and Veterinary Assistant.

The universidad enrolled 17,167 students for 2016-17, including 14,170 in undergraduate programs and 2,997 in graduate programs.
