About 29.2 percent of the 449 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Puerto Rico-Ponce in 2016-17 were to students in Psychology programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Ponce conferred 131 bachelor's degrees in Psychology programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Other. Data shows the school gave out 82 bachelor's degrees in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Other, followed by 74 bachelor's degrees in Psychology, Other and 57 bachelor's degrees in Forensic Psychology.
The university enrolled 3,630 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
