About 38.2 percent of the 212 degrees and certificates handed out by the Universidad Central de Bayamon in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Bayamon conferred 51 bachelor's degrees and 15 master's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 51 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 17 bachelor's degrees in Social Work and 12 master's degrees in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
The universidad enrolled 1,665 students for 2016-17, including 1,315 in undergraduate programs and 350 in graduate programs.
