About 18.1 percent of the 6,551 degrees and certificates handed out by the Georgetown University in 2016-17 were to students in Legal Professions and Studies programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Washington conferred 671 doctor's degrees and 518 master's degrees in Legal Professions and Studies programs.
But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in Law. Data shows the school gave out 668 doctor's degrees in Law, followed by 434 master's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 320 master's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.
The university enrolled 18,525 students for 2016-17, including 7,453 in undergraduate programs and 11,072 in graduate programs.
