About 54.3 percent of the 94 degrees and certificates handed out by the Caribbean University-Carolina in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Carolina conferred 28 associate's degrees and 23 bachelor's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants, Other. Data shows the school gave out 28 associate's degrees in Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants, Other, followed by 23 bachelor's degrees in Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants, Other and 7 bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education and Teaching.
The university enrolled 438 students for 2016-17, including 391 in undergraduate programs and 47 in graduate programs.
